Meet the Team

Padraig Sears, owner and guide of Green Road Cycle Tours, has a great love for outdoor activities. He is a frequent visitor to the French and Italian Alps, in summertime for mountain biking and touring and in the winter months for skiing. Such vacation activities are a continuation of his love of the outdoors and outdoor adventure activities which is available to him amongst Killarney’s National Park and the foothills of the MacGillycuddy Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range.

Here, he has his home and the base for his business. His previous career was in law enforcement, having served 30 years in Ireland’s national police force, An Garda Siochana.

The highlights of his police service, which he found very rewarding and life learning was his role as a Police instructor in the Garda College (Academy), his many years in firearms and specialised training of different Garda units, Garda management and Detective units.

Padraig is a Fáilte Ireland (Irish Tourist Board) approved regional and local guide.
